Okay well first I'm new here, so hello everyone! Second, I tried to get help from their 'specialists' but they gave me an answer I already tried or to try reinstalling Windows (I'd like to not lose everything on this computer again) and then said if it doesn't work try Geek Squad, but I'd rather not pay if I can fix this. I am running Windows XP Professional SP3 on a HP Pavilion a1214n computer. I also have a PNY GTX 560 Ti XLR8 video card, and 3 gigs of RAM. ROCKETFISH RF 51SDCD DRIVER FOR WINDOWS DOWNLOAD - Refer to the Manual or Rocketfish website: Rocketfish Internal Sound Cards. System Requirements Operation System Required. I had recently wiped my computer (actually about a half a year ago now I guess) and deleted some programs taking up space and in hopes of clearing a virus which was afflicting the system (which I killed by the way! Deleted every trace of it, had to do it in Safe Mode because it kept 'reproducing' in a normal start). Now, my problem (which has been happening ever since I wiped this computer and got this new card, but I never really used ths computer until now, my newer one died). I have a Rocketfish 5.1 PCI Sound card, which are no longer being made, and the current drivers for it. However it doesn't show up in my Sounds and Audio Devices window as a selectable device. I have Modem #1 Line Playback. Now is when it gets even weirder, I actually get sound in some, but not all, programs with my speakers plugged into the card. Under the Hardware tab (things relating to audio only) I have 4 NVIDIA High Definition Audios (having them enable or disabled makes no difference), Rocketfish 5.1 PCI Sound Card, and Audio Codecs. All of the audio drivers are up to date and working properly according to this. My onboard sound doesn't work either, in fact the driver was unknown, but after reinstalling it, it simply vanished. I posted on their website, a forum I visit often, and the Best Buy Q&A. I'll put the links to those in here so you can read what I posted there in case I forgot anything, be warned.
